98ATR

The 98ATR is the tubular cousin of the 1.2ACR wheelset and built with cross racers in mind. The rim depth is fine-tuned between a box and deep section rim giving the wheels plenty of stiffness while ensuring a forgiving ride over the roughest courses. Although we built these wheels with the cross racer in mind, this wheelset is perfect for the rider wanting to experience road tubulars without committing to one of our carbon wheels. If you are looking for a high performance tubular wheelset without the cost of carbon, our 98ATR wheelset is happy to give you more than bargained for.

Don’t assume that because the pros will sometimes still use boxed section wheels for the classics that they’re the answer to cross. While the idea makes sense in terms of wanting the most comfortable ride in a 6-hour classic road race, it doesn’t for off-camber and sometimes steep quick drops with quick turns at the bottom. A “bouncy” wheel isn’t going to go where you’re pointing it, so we created the 25mm deep 98ATR rim to do just that.
